NutriBev Science markets the RAD™ line of protein sports-energy (Endurance and Recovery) drinks for maximum endurance during performance and enhance recovery after exercise or competition.
RAD™ sports - energy drinks are radically different from any other sports or energy drink on the market today, because they contain: A), a readily assimilated protein and a proprietary carbohydrate blend, both of which provide immediate energy for enhanced performance; B), necessary glucose and amino acids for rapid muscle recovery; and C), scientifically formulated blend of electrolytes to replace those lost during exercise (See RAD Features).
The PeptoPro® protein in RAD™ was originally developed for the Dutch Olympic Team by the DSM corporation in The Netherlands. PeptoPro® is considered to be the "Performance Protein" since it is enzymatically pre-digested into small di- and tri- peptides that are rapidly assimilated into the body through receptors in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract and do not sit in the GI tract, as do much larger, intact protein isolates and protein concentrates. As such, not only are athletes receiving immediate energy from the proprietary blend of glucose and fructose found in our RAD™ Endurance sports-energy drink, but they also receive an additional energy boost derived from the di- and tri- peptides of the PeptoPro® protein. Because RAD™ Endurance also contains a range of electrolytes scientifically formulated to replace those lost during exercise, athletes not only receive a significant energy boost during exercise from the carbohydrates and proteins, but also experience optimal performance due to replenishment of electrolytes and cellular re-hydration.
Furthermore, and just as important, is the fact that our RAD™ Recovery products provide the glucose, and the necessary amino acids (alanine, glutamine, branched chained, etc.) to enhance glycogen re-synthesis and augment protein synthesis immediately after exercise to maximize the recovery process. During exercise, the carbohydrates provided in RAD™ Endurance contribute to a "glycogen sparing" effect by providing exogenous (from diet) sugars for energy utilization. After exercise, the proper amounts of glucose and specific amino acids found in RAD™ Recovery contribute to a "protein sparing" effect by providing the necessary substrates for glycogen re-synthesis and sparing muscle degradation that would usually occur to provide amino acids for this process. Further, the exogenous amino acids from RAD™ Recovery contribute to enhanced protein synthesis during the critical Anabolic Zone (Anabolic Window) of muscle protein synthesis after exercise.

RAD™ Endurance is available in a great tasting lemonade flavor with 6.5 gm of PeptoPro® protein and about 120 calories per half-liter bottle to provide high output energy to sustain a high intensity workout. RAD™ Recovery is available in an refreshing, orange flavor with 12.5 gm of PeptoPro® protein and about 140 calories per half-lite bottle to provide the necessary level of carbohydrates and amino acids to enhance recovery through maintenance of positive protein balance. It is recommended to take RAD™ Recovery immediately after exercise, for periods of two hours or longer, to enhance the recovery process, lessen the severity of muscle damage, and reduce muscle pain (Click on "See Details" in Shopping Cart section for each product for additional information and Recommended Usage).
