Ridding motocross (April, 2008)

Colby Skillman‘My name is Colby Skillman and I’m six years old. I have been ridding motocross since I was old enough to reach the pegs. I love motocross racing. I am always a winner in my class. I wear thick clothes to protect me and a helmet that gets very hot inside. It make me sweat lots. I like RAD cause it makes me feel refreshed and I can go faster. I like lemon, but I like grape better. Maybe you can get grape. Last weekend, April 5-6, I came in first place in my race using my PeeWee 50 Yamaha. I hope I win in the next races.’

RAD, the Dominant Sports-Energy Drink of the Future.

Dominating in all aspects of my life, is my true gladiator’s dream. I have always been very athletic, from the time I was a child with the Balboa Raiders in Pop Warner football, through my Army-of-One days, to the present as an 11 year professional gladiator "football player".  Over the years I have had my share of weight training and energy drink concoctions in attempts to gain that extra boost during workouts and competitive performances.  I have found that your RAD Endurance protein sports and energy drinks, ingredient for ingredient, are by far the new dominant endurance and recovery products to hit the market in years. The combination of the sugar and the "immediately-absorbed" peptides from PeptoPro provide a great boost of energy during workouts and competitive games that seems to last for the duration.  During these events and especially during my gym workouts, I drink RAD.  The Citrus and Lemon flavors taste great without any after taste, and I seem to be able to workout longer and harder without a crash or "let down" afterward.  I usually double up on the concentration of RAD starting immediately after my workouts, and I find that I seem to recover to the point of feeling refreshed in a couple of hours.  Also, although this is a subjective feeling, when I have laid off of workouts for a while and then gone back with great intensity, I feel like there are less painful muscle contractions in the fays following my renewed training schedule.  Keep up the good work, NutriBev.  I’m looking forward to your future products, especially the bulk powders, which I understand will be coming out in February of 2008.

RAD is RAD!

I’ve been weight training and Power Lifting for 30 years and I’ve used almost every version of nutrient support to sustain energy, reduce recovery time, and maximize muscle mass. As a police officer, I continued my weight lifting and have actually competed in many of the Police / Fire Olympics, wining on several occasions and finishing in the top three (3) all other times. I’m enclosing a couple of photos of myself taken when I was 42 years of age, during the Police / Fire Olympics, in which I won in my class and the overall title for that year, and the prior three years. While these photos were taken 5 years ago, I still sustain a regular work out regimen, which varies in intensity depending upon the circumstances, and always includes several days of cardio alternating with weight training. Lately I’ve tried your RAD Endurance powders and have found that the ingredients can sustain a consistent energy output during both cardio and weight lifting. While the content of protein and carbs is a bit light for weight lifting and power workouts, I simply double up on the recommended dosage putting two packs into a 16 oz bottle, and feel that I have more energy during the workouts. Also, I feel less exhausted after my sessions. Further, after strenuous workouts, I immediately take increasing amounts of RAD to aid in my recovery, which I find to be useful. I await the release of new products from NutriBev Science, with more protein and carbohydrates, specifically geared to the resistance-training, sports community. For me, as an experienced weight lifter and body builder, I find that RAD is really RAD. Awesome!

Testimonial: "Paddling and Pedaling - SurfSki RAD Enthusiast".   Rad Enthusiast

My initial impression is that RAD Endurance powder mixes easily (and stays mixed), tastes good, not too sweet or bitter in ambient water, but prefer to mix in hot water (better in cool mornings and after rainy wet rides).  I have a sensitive stomach and can’t handle most sports drinks, but RAD is no problem.

I received the RAD Endurance powder just prior to the US SurfSki Championships held at Crissy Field, San Francisco, CA., Sept 29-30, 2007.  I participated in the long course (16 miles) which consisted of Bay and open ocean water, swift currants, wind, confusing seas, bright sunshine, and other vessel traffic, on an absolutely beautiful weekend (Sunshine in SF?).  A SurfSki is a sit-on-top, water craft (kayak) approx 21 feet long and about 17 inches wide. The sport originated in South Africa and Australia.

I mixed up a couple of batches RAD Endurance prior to the race, then an additional two packets which were placed in a water bottle to take with me for during the event (see photo). After a difficult start due to stiff incoming current and rough seas around the buoys, I calmed down, felt good through the entire race and had plenty of energy - attributed to your RAD Endurance drink.

Sunday, we had a relay race consisting of a water launch, 2-mile sprint, and then a beach landing with a run-down-the-beach to tag the next contestant.  I arose early and mixed up a batch of RAD half an hour before the event began.  Being the first to compete, I went out for a couple practice laps.  During the race I was able to catch the contestant in front of me on the upwind leg and at the finish of the race, I was pulling strong and felt great, thanks to RAD.

I’ve since been using RAD on several bike rides, and noticed that on my two times-a-week, after-work commute (of 27 miles) I have actually gotten faster, from 1 hour: 50 minutes to 1 hour:45 minutes, and even hit 1 hour: 39 minutes the other day.  Also, I have not been experiencing the "crash" after the ride! Again, I attribute this to RAD, and as I mentioned, I prefer to drink it hot, almost like tea.

This coming weekend I am doing a 10 mile benefit paddle race using a Hobie kayak with he pedal drive, thus combining paddling and pedaling at the same time. I’ll definitely be using RAD Endurance drink mix prior, during, and after the event.

Testimonial: "Drinking RAD on US Bike Trip"

I recently returned from a bike trip in the United States. In two weeks I covered the 700 miles between Bellingham, WA and North Bend, OR. One thing was clear, without the help of RAD with PeptoPro, it would have been a lot tougher ride than it was.

The bike trip was organized by the Adventure Cycling Association and it was a self contained tour.  That means that there was no outside support and all gear (personal items, tents, cooking equipment etc.) was carried by the participants in back packs or other containers.  This made for pretty heavy bikes, but that in itself was not so much the problem, as was the combination of a heavy bike and the hills on the route.  Although I had put in a lot of training miles, living in Holland where it is mostly very flat there is no real possibility to prepare for the hills of Washington and Oregon.

You were kind enough to provide me with an ample supply of RAD Endurance powder mix.  I was familiar with Peptopro protein from DSM, but not yet in this powdered formulation of RAD from NutriBev Science.   During the trip I used about a packet of RAD per day by just adding it to the water in my canteen. The taste was excellent and I am convinced that it did me a world of good.   During the first week I really had to work hard to conquer the hills and I believe that the RAD prevented me from a lot of soreness. There was very little muscle ache in the morning and I had enough energy to go at it another day.  I really think that RAD had a lot to do with my endurance.

I also shared the RAD with a friend of mine from Florida, who experienced the same problems with the hills as I did (it seems that there aren’t any hills in Florida either). She too was very enthusiastic about the product and it helped her a lot, by preventing soreness and supplying energy.  She indicated that she will look for the product when she returns from the trip.

In conclusion, RAD helped me to have a great trip and I would like to thank you for making this possible for me.

Best regards,

Testimonial: "Effective Sports Drink"

I was introduced to RAD sports drink during the International Society for Sports Nutrition annual meeting this year. As an avid cyclist and a sports dietitian, I have been looking for a new sports drink that contains protein in about a 4:1 carbohydrate to protein ratio and tastes good enough to drink!   I found this with RAD Endurance!

Since the protein found in RAD is in the form of di and tri-peptides, it’s digested much faster than whole proteins; therefore it doesn’t cause GI distress from sitting in the stomach for long periods.  In addition, the protein helps me recover faster by providing the essential amino acids and sparing my lean body mass.

I used it on a 120 mile ride through the mountains as well as multi-day rides and felt strong throughout the whole event!  I am able to climb mountain passes and still feel strong at the end of the ride!  This great tasting, effective sports drink is essential for my performance and I am recommending it to my clients, colleagues, and friends.

Testimonial: "Hooked on RAD!"

In May, at the Supply Side East show in New Jersey, I picked up some of your RAD Endurance powder samples containing the performance protein, Peptopro. I am firm believer in your science - as both a scientist (food scientist/nutritionist) and marathon runner. I have to tell you that I think the product is incredible! I have used it in my training all summer (during runs). I have had no leg soreness, and most importantly for me, I don’t feel an overall, total body fatigue that I usually suffer throughout Sunday after my long runs (15+ miles). I am now training for another marathon on September 30, and I will be using RAD Endurance during my training sessions and during the marathon. I’m hooked on RAD!
Warm regards,

 Testimonial:  "Great Restorative Power"

My son, Will Stewart, is a senior at Magnolia High School in Magnolia, TX.  In his Sophomore year during a Cross Country race in The Woodlands, he acquired a shin fracture approximately 3 inches long up his shin.  After more than 12 weeks of crutches and an air cast, he was released to run again, but his recovery was continually marked by severe shin splints.  The Doctors, Coaches and Trainers all said that if he would stretch better, warm-up longer, and do band (resistance) exercises regularly, these would disappear.  They did not, and in fact, they got worse.  Over the next two years he was plagued with muscle and shin injuries, despite the extensive amount of warm-ups, stretching and exercising, and he was continuously limping from his numerous injuries.

As a mom I was devastated and I tried everything to help.  I subscribed to running magazines, bought $200.00 prescription inserts that had to be replaced every 4 to 6 weeks, and I purchased $100’s worth of videos on running, searching exercises, etc., over the internet.

In late December 2006 or early January 2007 I read about recovery drinks in one of my magazines and about the importance of carbohydrates and protein in such beverages.  On line I found a considerable amount of information from sports medical journals, but no one gave me the name of the drinks that really worked.  I bought a powder mix from a local health food store which seemed to be helping, but then RAD arrived.  After taking RAD for two days, my son came home and said, "Mom, it works. I don’t hurt the day after a hard work-out.  Don’t stop buying this. It really works!"

RAD has stopped the pain and the injuries, and I am grateful.  I feel like God answered my prayers by making this wonderful recovery drink available.  I’m not an advertiser.  I’m just a mom whose son has suffered horrible injuries and thought there was no help, no hope. There is now.  RAD really has saved my son’s legs.  He is trying to get his 800 meter times low enough for state and with the continued use of this product, and God willing I think that you will see his name on Texas Track placing at the 5A State competition.
